Thoughts on this one.
Final Fantasy VII‘s G-Bike
Via the newest issue of Famitsu, Square Enix will be reportedly bringing Final Fantasy VII‘s G-Bike to mobile platforms this autumn. You’ll remember this minigame in first as a thrilling escape from Midgar and then as an attraction in Gold Saucer. Developed in conjuction with CyberConnect2, you’ll be able to jump and slide, as well as customize your bike in some way through materia. We don’t yet know if the game is a direct lift from Final Fantasy VII‘s code or inspired by it.
More Gold Saucer minigames are reportedly heading to smartphones as well.
Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy Curtain Call‘s Ichirou Hazama is the games producer, Final Fantasy VII director and scenario writer Yoshinori Kitase is attached as executive producer, and Final Fantasy VII character designer, battle visual director, and scenario writer Tetsuya Nomura will also be working on the game.
Final Fantasy VII G-Bike will be available on iOS and Android platforms. It will also be free to play “muryou” game — which will likely include microtransactions. The Super Dunk basketball mini-game in Wonder Square and the Submarine minigame are also being considered as mobile candidates.
Update: Square Enix’s official announcement comes today with new images and a trailer. Final Fantasy VII G-Bike will have weapon and item collection aspects and will feature Cloud’s unique fighting style in full 3D stages.
Everything brought to you by finalfantasy.net and E3 2014. I will try to keep up with everything. So what do you think about the new games that that are coming to NA and Europe.
